Happy No Garbage Friday!

Happy Friday to you!

I am feeling really terrible about not posting Thankful Thursday yesterday.  It has been kind of a weird week for me.  We had a "Snow Day" one day and my daughter was home sick from school the other three days.  As for routine this week...it didn't exist.  I sometimes wonder if these kinds of weeks are thrown at me every so often just to challenge my ability of adapting to the mix-up of my usual routine. I hate that the lack of routine for me, means that it leaves me more time to think about the struggles that I wrestle with each day.  I timidly shared  a bit of this with you here, on my last post.  What the lack of routine did offer to me was some extra, quality time with Emma.  You know what an indulgence that is for me!  I hate when my girlie is sick but, I love how snugly she is!  I like to feel that she still needs her mommy!

I am making a very conscious effort to find the positive in every negative that I encounter in my life.  We all know that focusing on the negatives...only breeds more of it.  A wickedly bad road to head down! Yes, I have taken a wrong turn down that avenue many times in my life but, now that road is absolutely closed for me.  I will choose the other option...positivity

I have something to share with you today...

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call,
'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

so ... Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don't.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

"Faith is not believing God can, it is knowing that God will."

Have a garbage-free day!

It is really quite simple....I DO NOT want to be a garbage truck!  Many, many times in my life I have allowed others to dump their trucks in my life.  After reading this, I think that I will smile, wave, wish them well and move on.  I am not a garbage dump and neither are any of you!

I hope that you all have a wonderful, garbage-free weekend!
